CE Marking of Metallic Structures EN 1090 and ISO 3834

Certification of steel structure manufacturers, according to the standards EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834

Nortest has received the ISO 17065 accreditation from the National Accreditation System (ESYD) in the certification of construction products. As it is well known, the CE marking is now considered to be the pre-requisite for the production and trade of Building Products and Structures within the EU. This is re-affirmed through Regulation 305/2011 of the European Parliament and the EU Council issued on March 9th, 2011, where the application of the Eurocode 3 is determined as mandatory and binding across Europe.
According to Eurocode 3, which determines the requirements related to the design of steel and aluminum structures, the application of the harmonized standards EN 1090 "Structural steel construction, from steel and aluminum" and EN ISO 3834 "Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials" are considered to be mandatory.
